LMS Plug-ins – New LMS support added

Panopto Editor

  • Added “save and continue” / “save and quit” save modes
  • Better layout for smaller screen sizes
  • Editor layout more closely matches viewer
  • Timeline view moved to right of table of contents
  • Timeline view simplified
    • streams/segments moved to tabs in session of contents
    • events/streams/segments edit modes accessible through tabs
  • Improved navigation - Click on timeline to seek
  • Improved segmenting – Ctrl-click and drag or use “cut mode”
  • Easily merge sessions to stitch together multi-part recordings for seamless playback

Panopto Focus Recorder

  • Fixed video aspect ratio for 16:9 inputs
  • Much better screen capture performance on Windows 7
  • Secondary camera & screencapture framerates up to 30 fps in Windows 7
  • Secondary cameras default to high-resolution modes
  • Secondary devices share screen capture maximum resolution and framerate
  • Reduced resolution modes for high-framerate capture of onscreen video playback
  • "Minimize on start recording" option
  • Better PowerPoint start options
  • Long questions in broadcast mode display correctly

Remote Recorder

  • Remote recorder name defaults to computer hostname if left blank during install

Panopto Web Interface

  • Improved "outputs" tab in session details window shows all viewer formats and feeds
  • Select between picture-in-picture, mixed video, primary-only, secondary-only, and audio-only podcast format
  • Support for sharing folders and sessions with ActiveDirectory groups (rather than list of group users)
  • Filter search results and folder lists by date range
  • Display 5, 10, 25, 50, or all results per page
  • See system and filesystem usage in new System->Usage tab
    • Number of sessions
    • Hours Recorded Sort
    • Views Sort
    • Hours Viewed
    • Disk Space Used

Panopto Viewer

  • Flash/HTML5 "embed" support for podcast video
  • Flash/HTML5 viewer shows alongside prompt to install Silverlight when Silverlight is not installed
  • HTML5 embedded viewer plays in page on iOS devices

Data Server

  • All services can be run in parallel up to 64 servers (up to 1024 encoding processes)
