Content Exporter
This utility allows you to export online CourseCast recordings to an offline format. It can then be played from disk or burned onto any portable media (CD or DVD).

**Important Notes**
- This must be run from the CourseCast web server.
- If you are not using c:\cc_data\ for your sessions or video paths then you will need to modify exporter.exe.config to reflect the correct location.
- Download the Panopto Content Exporter Zip File.
- Extract it. For this example, we will use c:\panopto_exporter.
- Click on Start - Run - type "cmd" without the quotes and press Enter.
- Change directories to c:\panopto_exporter.
- Open exporter.exe.config in notepad and verify location of data sessions and video paths.
- Type exporter.exe to see usage options.
- Syntax: exporter [-all]
OR [-session_group] (or -sg)
OR [-delivery] (or -d)
[-rootdir]
[-nosubdirs]
-all : Export all deliveries in the system.
-session_group : Export all deliveries in the specified session group.
-delivery : Export the specified delivery only.
(GUID can be determined from viewer URL)
- Syntax: exporter [-all]
- Delivery GUID is obtained from the viewable URL. (Ex: the section highlighted in bold is the delivery GUID for this recording:

*Export directory can be any folder where want to send the offline files.
Example of -delivery (or -d) syntax:
- Exporter.exe -d 6f602c97-0792-42e9-bb5f-3cf9ec052001 -rootdir c:\offline

- Inside of c:\offline there will be a folder that includes all of the offline files.
- Double-Click default.htm and the recording will run from that directory instead of the server.
Example of -session_group (or -sg) syntax:
- Exporter.exe -sg "bio 101" -rootdir c:\offline

- Inside of c:\offline there will be a folder that includes all of the offline files.

Example of -all syntax:
- Exporter.exe -all -rootdir c:\offline

Playback tip:
If you don't want to click to allow blocked content each time in IE, follow this step:
- The default IE settings block ActiveX controls behind a prompt, requiring several clicks to get to the viewer every time.
- Check Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Allow active content to run in files on My Computer to never show this prompt.
