                                          Activity logging in Panopto Recorder Version 4.1 and Higher     

 


 

 

After you have finished recording and your content is being uploaded to your server, Panopto begins a variety of processes to finalize your presentation. In 4.1, you can now view these processes in real time to track your session's encoding. 

 

Step 1.)

On your server's web interface, locate the session you want to view the log for, and move your mouse under the "Actions" heading. Click the gear image to launch the "Settings" window.

Step 2.)

This will open the Settings overview window. Click the "Log" tab to begin activity viewing.

Step 3.)

If this session was just recently uploading and is still encoding, you can view the processes in this tab.

In a few moments, more information will appear if you click "Refresh."

Depending on the file size of your session, the finished recording will take a varying amount of time to complete. Eventually, you will see an "Encoding Complete" message in the log.
