Panopto Focus 4.0 Data Server Installation Instructions

These instructions are for clean installations with no prior Panopto software installed.  For upgrade instructions, please see Upgrade to Panopto 4.0.

Install Panopto Data Server for Focus v4.0

Once the prerequisites have been installed, please follow the steps below to install Panopto in your environment.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Panopto Support @ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Extract the ZIP file that you have received from Panopto then locate and run PanoptoDataServer.exe.  The Welcome to Panopto screen will load.

1.  On the Destination Folders screen, set the locations for where you would like to install Panopto and where you would like to store the web and data content.  Click Next.

2.  Enter the FQDN of your Panopto Web Server.  Archival Content is storage for the raw files uploaded from the client.

3.  Click Install to begin the installation of Panopto Focus Data Services.

4.  When installation is finished, click Finish to close the install.

Install Panopto Encoder MPEG-4 Components

1. Run PanoptoEncoderMP4Components.exe

2. Click Next

3. Click Next

4. Click Next

5. Click Close
