Install and Setup

This document will walk you through the installation of the Panopto Mac Recorder for Intel based Mac computers running at least OSX Leopard 10.5.x.

Specifications

• Mac OSX 10.5.x (Leopard), 10.6.x (Snow Leopard), 10.7.x (Lion)
• Intel based - Dual core 2.0ghz / 2GB RAM (recommended)
• FireWire ports for digital cameras
• Built in iSight camera (optional)
• USB ports for webcams or other recording devices
• Disable sleep mode, screen savers and scheduled tasks

Microsoft Silverlight Player Installation

Installation of Microsoft Silverlight player is only required for viewing recordings.

Download from Microsoft here.

Mac Recorder Installation

1.  Download the Mac Recorder from (http://your_panopto_server/Panopto/Software/MacRecorder.zip)

2.  Run the "Panopto Recorder.pkg" file

3.  Click Continue

4.  Click Continue

5.  Click Install

6.  If prompted, insert credentials for installation. Click Install Software

7.  Click Close
