iPhone App Overview
Login
To log into the Panopto iPhone App, type in the same server, username, and password that you use in the Panopto Recorder or Web UI and click 'Login'.

Create Recording
To create a recording, first click the 'Recording' button at the bottom of the page and then click 'Choose a Folder'.

Scroll through your available folders, choose a folder, and then click 'Select'.

You can click the down arrow next to session, choose a session name from the list, and click 'Select' to upload the video to an existing session.


Alternatively, you can click in the 'Session' field and type a name for a new session.

Once a folder and session are selected, you can click 'Record' to begin recording.

Once you are finished recording, you may preview the video by clicking play. You can click 'Retake' to shoot the video again or 'Use' if the video is acceptable.

At this point you may change the 'Session Name' or 'Folder' if you wish. Otherwise click 'Start Upload' to upload your video to the Panopto server.

Upload Existing iPhone Video
To upload an existing iPhone video, first click the 'Recording' button at the bottom of the page and then click 'Upload'.

Next, select the folder on the iPhone which contains the video that you wish to upload (usually Camera Roll) and then select the video itself.


You can preview the video that you selected and cancel if it isn't the correct one or click 'Choose' if it is right. It will give you a progress bar as it prepares the video to send.


You then will need to choose a folder and session name for the video.


Finally, click 'Start Upload' and you can view the progress while it uploads to the server.


Add Notes to Existing Sessions
To add notes from your iPhone, first click on the 'Notes' button.

You can use the search box by clicking in the empty white box with the spyglass icon and typing in keywords. Once, you have found the desired video, you can click on it to select.

Click in the white box at the bottom to enter notes. Clicking the lock icon will toggle between Private (locked) and Public (unlocked) notes. Once you are content with your note, click the add button and it will display on your screen.

View Existing Panopto iPhone Recordings
To view or re-upload past iPhone recordings, click on the 'Status' button from the 'Recording' screen.

This will take you to a list of videos that were previously recorded using the Panopto iPhone App. You can select videos here to preview them or reupload.


View Server Sessions
To view existing sessions on the Panopto server, select the 'Home' button. From there, you can use the search box or click folders to narrow your search. Click on any video to view the Podcast for that session.
