Updating your Panopto Recorder to the Latest Version (Windows)
After your organization's server has been upgraded, you will need to manually upgrade your Panopto Recorder to the latest version. There are two different ways this can be done: either by logging into the recorder, or by logging into your server and downloading it on the interface.

Otherwise, follow the steps below to begin
Upgrading via the Panopto Recorder
Step 1.)
Open the Panopto Recorder. If you are not logged in already, do so now. (Information on logging in can be found at http://support.panopto.com/focus-4-articles/23-windowsrecorder/339-basic-recording under "Step 1")
If your organization has an updated version of the Panopto Recorder, the following window will appear:

Step 2.)
Click "Download Now"
This will open up a save file screen. Choose a location to store the installation file, and click Save. If asked to replace a file with the same name, hit "Yes."

Depending on your browser, you may also have the ability double click the file in your browsers "Downloads" window after it has finished.
Step 3.)
Double click the downloaded file. You may be asked by Windows or your Browser for permission to run the file. Click the "Run" button if this happens.

Step 4.)
The installer will automatically begin the updating process.

On Windows, the following popup may appear:

Click "Yes" if this occurs to continue your upgrade.
Once installation is complete, the Panopto Recorder will launch and you may begin recording
